DIY Wire Headband

Bunny, bunny , bunny ears! This cute wire headband can be twisted into adorable bunny ears or a simple bow.  I love how it easily dresses up a hairstyle and adds a unique and personalized touch.  It’s very retro, very girly, and quite a simple DIY.  The project takes about 30 minutes total, and it is a fun way to use up old fabric scraps 🙂

DIY Wear 3 Ways Kimono

This tutorial teaches you how to make a simple kimono that can be worn in three different ways. Wear it one way, and you have a long, knee length kimono with short sleeves. Wear it a second way, and you have a long-sleeved bat wing cardigan. Tie it in the front, and you have a casual, loose tied top. It’s versatile, and best of all, it’s a quick and easy DIY! Music Note Hoodie

One of my favorite things about sewing is being able to make super unique and personalized gifts. I recently made this music note hoodie for a friend. He loves white sweatshirts (I despise them; they get dirty so easily!) and playing piano, so I made a musically themed hoodie. The front and back center panel of the hoodie is a lovely music note fabric I found on Etsy, and the rest of the hoodie is made of white sweatshirt fleece from Joann’s.  The hoodie took me around four hours to complete, and it was a great break between studying for finals 🙂 Continue reading
